AWS

The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam is intended for individuals with experience designing distributed applications and systems on the AWS platform. Of the three associate-level exams, the certified solutions architect AWS certification is the most generic, and most of the questions are scenario-based (understanding which services to use to solve different business use cases).
The exam is divided into four sections:

  1. Designing highly available, cost efficient, fault tolerant, scalable systems (60%)
  2. Implementation/Deployment (10%)
  3. Data Security (20%)
  4. Troubleshooting (10%)

Some questions require that you understand and are able to create simple AWS architecture. Most of the questions are related to the following areas:

  • EC2: Typology and when to use one type over another, costs, IAM roles, autoscaling, snapshots, and AMI
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • S3: Standard vs. infrequent access, Glacier, limits, security, encryption, dynamic hosting (endpoints names), lifecycle management, transfer acceleration, import export data (Snowball)
  • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
  • Security Groups and Access Control List: Differences between the two
  • DirectConnect
  • Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
  • Simple Queue Service (SQS): Limits, characteristics (no order queue), message dimensions (message can contain up to 256KB of text, billed at 64KB chunks), design (two queues if you need priority), visibility timeout, maximum long polling timeout, messages retention, costs.
  • Simple Notification Service (SNS): Redundancy on availability zone (AZ); SNS can notify to email, text or SMS, SQS, or any HTTP endpoint; messages can be customized for each protocol (HTTP, HTTPS, EMAIL, JSON, SQS, or Application)
  • RDS: Configurations, multiple AZ, read replica
  • CloudWatch
  • Route53: Policies
  • Disaster Recovery: Recovery Time Objective, Recovery Point Objective

CCNA

CCNA is an information technology certification from Cisco Systems. CCNA certification is an associate-level Cisco Career certification. The Cisco exams have changed several times in response to the changing IT trends.

Cisco offers many Associate-level certifications for networking professionals. Topics covered include voice, video, cloud, industrial, wireless, data center, service provider and routing and switching. For example, many companies are using Cloud-based technology to help them remain agile and flexible. The CCNA Cloud certification is designed for network engineers and administrators to advance and expand their cloud-based skills and knowledge. The CCNA Security credential is a basic requirement for network security professionals. Passing the exam means that IT job candidates have the skills required to recognize threats, minimize network vulnerabilities and manage complex security infrastructures.

The most popular Associate-level program is the CCNA Routing and Switching certification. As networks grow in complexity, the need for qualified network professionals who can implement infrastructure and manage network issues is rapidly growing. Networking solutions cover video services, voice communications, and collaboration environments. The curriculum of the CCNA Routing and Switching program is highly relevant and practical because training modules are closely aligned with the assigned tasks of networking professionals. Thus, the program teaches how to design and configure networks, but also provide excellent support as technical specialists.

Friendship

Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. It is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an association, and has been studied in academic fields such as communication, sociology, social psychology, anthropology, and philosophy.

Reflect on the most meaningful friendships in our life. Think of that person we can call at any time of the day when we need some advice, are feeling down, or when we just need a good laugh. Although Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter allow us to be constantly updated with our friends’ latest posts, we have to remember to sign out of our accounts and pick up the phone and call each other.

We need to make a greater effort in our very busy lives to find ways to connect face to face with friends. Although the demands of life will call for constant attention, friends are the ones that provide both spiritual and mental renewal. They are the ones who give hope in life’s most difficult situations, help to de-stress our life, and provide affirmation of your life’s path. When you and your friends are investing in a conscientious relationship, meaningfulness often follows.

Information Technology

Welcome to Focusing on Information Technology

Information Technology is the use of computers that it can store, transmit, and manipulate the data or the information that transfering in the air in our daily life style, and we can access those data by just a click on our computer devices or our cell phone.

Information Technology.  Sometimes we get so focused on the bits and bytes side of the equation we forget about the information part that how much information we can access daily by just opening our internet browser and type whatever we can think about and get the result in couple seconds, and sometimes it may just take a millisecond to access to the information that we were looking for, or we can send the data to anyone that we want to access the files we are sharing with, and when it comes right down to it, IT is all about using technology to inform, to communicate, to make the business of doing business easier and more understandable.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
